Zoo World is a small, hands-on zoo built around close animal encounters rather than a big-city zoo experience. You can feed giraffes and alligators, pet a sloth, and work through exhibits like the Budgie Aviary, Gem Mining area, Friendly Farmyard and Allaphattah Swamp. Several animal experiences are paid add-ons, so it is worth checking their site before you go if there is one specific encounter the kids have their heart set on. Open daily 9:30am to 5pm, last admission 4pm, closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
