You cannot miss the building — it is upside down, sitting right along Front Beach Road, which makes it an easy one to point out to kids who need convincing that a rainy afternoon is not a wasted one. Inside is an indoor science museum built around hands-on exhibits: a bed of nails, a bubble lab, a light-up dance floor, an indoor ropes course and laser tag for the older kids. It is fully air conditioned and entirely indoors, which makes it the easiest answer on the list for the one day the forecast does not cooperate. Plan on two to three hours to get through it properly, longer if the ropes course or laser tag lines are long. It is about 15 minutes from the house along Front Beach Road. Tickets are not cheap, so it is worth checking their site for combo deals if you are doing laser tag and the museum both. Go earlier in the day if you can, it fills up fast once a few rainy mornings send everyone inside at once.
